The Aya collection is largely inspired by Sekhmet, a lioness goddess in Egyptian theology. She was feared by the Egyptiansbut also revered for her protection during wars. Sekhmet is also linked to the sun, she protects the good and punishes the evil. The lion, the lioness, symbolize courage, balance and good judgment.
